1- EXPLAIN EXPLANATION ABOUT CRANE AND LE.


A. Only authorized and competent persons should operate cranes

B. The correct sling must be used for the load to be lifts

C. Lifting equipment must be certified by the competent authority and marked with its SWL

D. Never be used for loads excess of its SWL

E. Cables and slings must be padded when passing over sharp edges of equipment

F. Check the condition of the ground before parking the crane and use outriggers

G. All moving parts must be guarded

H. Uncertified chains, ropes, slings, and hooks should not be used

I. All slings must be inspected by certified third-party inspectors.

J. Avoid standing or working beneath suspended loads.

K. Place the outriggers on the firm ground

L. Guide ropes should be used to control the swing of lifted materials.

M. Do not operate the crane during high wind speeds.

N. Avoid lifting over live equipment whenever possible.

O. The crane should undergo periodical maintenance as per manufactures


2- GENERAL SAFETY PRECAUTIONS IN CONSTRUCTION?

A. Adequate first aid equipment should be kept ready

B. Adequate firefighting equipment should be available

C. All general electrical rules should be followed

D. Suitable lighting arrangements should be necessary at night work

E. Workforce/workers at height should wear safety belts

F. Workmen handling cement should be given goggles, rubber gloves, and rubber boots with nose masks.

G. The moving parts of the grinding machines used on the construction site should be covered with guards.
