4.0. Responsible Personnel on Site:

4.1. Electrical Field Engineers

4.2. Safety Officer

4.3. QA/QC Engineer

4.4. Electrical Superintendent

4.5. Approved HV subcontractor for termination of the incoming cable to the panel

5.0. Safety:

5.1. All safety precautions shall be followed as per the approved safety plan & procedure.

5.2. Ensure all involved persons are aware of the same.

5.3. Safety Officer to ensure that all tools and equipment are suitable and in good condition.

5.4. Ensure that all tradesmen leave their working places clean, tidy, and rubbish-free.

5.5. All lifting equipment shall be checked for capacity.

5.6. Hot work permit for using electric tools drill, grinder, etc.

6.0. Delivery and Storage:

6.1. Unload the panels in the designated unloading area. Use a forklift or crane to unload self-standing panels.

6.2. Proper care must be observed during offloading to prevent unnecessary damage to panels.

6.3. Ensure that Medium Voltage (MV Panels) are stored in a dry and clean area.

6.4. Before acceptance, an inspection regarding the physical condition of the panels shall be conducted and to ensure that the country of origin, components are by the approved material submittal.

6.5. Ensure that the Medium Voltage (MV Panels) are properly protected and covered by a tarpaulin.

6.6. Submit the material delivery form to the consultant for their inspection and approval.

7.0. Pre-Installation:

7.1. All materials and documentation relevant to this particular section of work shall be checked before installation.

7.2. Before any permanent work is started, an inspection of all materials, tools, and accessories shall be carried out.

7.3. Ensure that proper access is to execute the works in a suitable condition and free from obstruction.

8.0. Installation Procedure:

8.1. It has been presumed that all related civil works have been completed before the Medium Voltage (MV Panels) installation

8.2. The floor of the LV room in the substation shall be painted and ready for permanent installation of Medium Voltage (MV Panels)

8.3. Move the {panels from the storage area to the designated room, i.e... Substation for Medium Voltage (MV Panels) and electrical room [Write room/Location Here] for capacitor bank. Fully panels shipped on a timber sub-base shall be lifted under the sub-base by a forklift.

8.4. Move the panels from the storage area to the designated room using a forklift with a fully projected fork under the panels or using a crane.

8.5. Unpack and remove the panels from its timber base. Care must be taken to protect the panels from unnecessary scratches on the panels.

8.6. Move the panels using steel pipe rollers to their final location. Care must be taken to ensure that the panel does not overbalance while being moved to its final locations.

8.7. Align the panel horizontally and vocally

8.8. Clearance between Panels and walls shall be by [as per your state or country’s authority] regulations (800 mm clearance for Medium Voltage (MV Panels) less than 4m width and 1OOO mm clearance for Medium Voltage (MV Panels) more than 4m width).

8.9. Ensure that the panels are installed properly in their designated location as shown in the shop drawings.

8.10. Terminate the earth cable to the designated earth point inside the panels through the calibrated torque wrench. The earth cable shall be connected to the designated earth pit

8.11. Remove all unused bolts, nuts, and washers, and clean the panel.

8.12. After Medium Voltage (MV Panels) installations and cable terminations, the project engineer will test the panels to ensure that it is in good condition and as per [your state or country’s authority] regulations.

9.0. Tools:

9.1. Electric-powered tools: Drill, grinder.
